How do you SHOW cooling, when it’s a feeling?
Along with director team TOCO, I wanted to use digitally augmented environments and IRL projection mapping for the graphic overlays. This created a sexy, silky, flowing visual to illustrate the cooling properties of the Arctic mattress.
We needed a bold visual to open on, and I loved the idea of freezing the mattress in ice. After some R&D, we realized it wasn’t feasible to do with practical effects, so we resorted to a 3D rendering. Our bedroom environment was a real platform build, with other architectural elements added in post. And I will find any excuse to use dry ice!
All graphic overlays were done with projection mapping, captured IRL in-camera.
